We are excited to announce the following promotions for these well-deserving colleagues!

Gary “J.R.” Delauter, Jr. was promoted to Vice President of Deposit Operations. This promotion recognizes J.R. for his dedication and contributions the past 18 years and his continued success with each position held at Woodsboro Bank. J.R. began his career as a Teller with Woodsboro Bank in 1999 and has developed invaluable knowledge surrounding the deposit operations function of the bank.

J.R. holds a Bank Operations Diploma from Center for Financial Training and will begin Maryland Banking School in 2018. He is an active member of Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Historical Society of Woodsboro, and board member of Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.


Doug Murphy was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Credit Administration. This promotion recognizes Doug for his contribution within the Credit department and dedication to the growth of the bank while demonstrating prudent lending practices. Doug’s career in credit and business banking has spanned more than 40 years with numerous successes. Prior to joining Woodsboro Bank, Doug held the position of Small Business-Market Manager with Bank of America where he managed a loan portfolio of more than $300 million.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He is an active member of the Board of Directors of St. John’s Cemetery and a member of the Community Foundation of Frederick County Scholarship Committee.


Lucretia Holman was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager. This promotion recognizes Lucretia’s contributions to Woodsboro Bank over the course of her 14 years within the banking profession. Lucretia joined Woodsboro Bank in 2016 as a Teller and has demonstrated exceptional customer service and the ability to perform a wide range of retail banking functions leading to her growth. Her previous experience includes an array of job functions within both retail and customer service fields. Lucretia holds a degree from Everest University in Business Administration.


Angie Simmons moved in to the role of a Relationship Banker at our Thurmont Office. In addition to performing the duties of this position, Angie has been instrumental in the development and implementation of ongoing teller training.




Debbie MacLeod stepped into the role of Relationship Banker/Head Teller at our Woodsboro Office. Debbie has been performing the duties as the back-up Head Teller and acting Head Teller on weekends. Her promotion to this role is supported by her contributions to the branch and team since joining the Bank.  




Joan Hurley moved into the role of Relationship Banker/Head Teller at our Route 40 Office.  Joan has worked at Guilford, MVO and Downtown Offices honing her skills to take on her new responsibilities.
