Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented BSA Analyst to join our compliance team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring that our operations are secure and compliant. You will help protect the bank and our customers from financial crime while being part of a team that takes pride in doing what’s right. Your work will have a direct impact on the safety and integrity of the banking experience, and you’ll be a key player in maintaining our reputation as a trusted, community-oriented institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the bank’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and anti-money laundering (AML) program. This role involves monitoring transactions, reviewing suspicious activities, and ensuring regulatory compliance within our heavily regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze daily transactions for potential suspicious activity.
- Assist in preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
- Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) on high-risk accounts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with all BSA/AML regulations.
- Keep current on all federal and state regulatory changes, and assist with audits and exams as needed.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in BSA/AML compliance or related banking experience.
- Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), AML regulations, and OFAC requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, heavily regulated environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
