Katie Silver, LCSW-C, BCD and founder of Silver Psychotherapy, is committed to serving clients throughout Frederick and Montgomery Counties and all of Maryland. In addition to providing quality mental health therapy using evidence-based counseling practices, Katie brings to the therapeutic process her years as a clinician as well as her experience as a wife, mother, daughter, and friend to the community. With over 20 years of experience focusing on trauma work and other mood disorders, Katie is dedicated to providing the best treatment possible, tailored to each individual client’s needs.
Founded in 2016, employing clinicians with over 35 years of practice experience, Silver Psychotherapy offers a calm and quiet atmosphere to heal in. While conveniently located to serve Frederick County off the 270 and 70 Interstate, anyone in Maryland can make an appointment via telehealth. The office is even available to tour virtually, so every potential patient’s comfort is taken into account from the very beginning of the healing journey.
Silver Psychotherapy strives toward “inclusive excellence” by fostering an environment where everyone is valued for their unique differences. The practice has partnered with local schools to promote student and staff mental health and wellness through an online series covering different cognitive concepts. The clinic’s blog constantly updates with online resources and supportive entries to encourage and engage with its diverse patient base.
